This information sheet is intended to provide general handling precautions for Nail Bondís range of industrial adhesives and sealant. It should not be considered to be a substitute for the Material safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of the individual product. Nu Gel nail, VIP glue adhesives have been developed to be as safe as possible in relation to the performance required. However, as with all chemicals, they should be handled with respect.
Nail Bond. Nail VIP cyanoacrylate adhesives and sealant should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sources of heat and ignition
Shelf life can be extended by refrigerating unopened containers. Once opened, containers should no longer be refrigerated
Smoking is to be avoided when working with adhesives and associated materials.
Operators using adhesives should always avoided contact with skin and eyes by using personal protective equipment such as barrier creams, gloves (not rubber), and coveralls. Safety glasses should always be worn. Cyanoacrylates quickly bonds skin and should only be used in small quantities at a time.
When using plastic disposable gloves, use separate cotton inner liners to reduce the risk of sweat induced irritation Always avoided rubbing the eyes and face with contaminated hands or gloves.
Contaminated coveralls should be replaced without delay. Particular care should be exercised to keep sleeve cuffs clean to prevent contamination of the wrists. Hands should always to be cleaned before eating. or drinking, or using the restroom. A proprietary cleansing cream and conventional washing are recommended. Solvents should never be used to clean the skin.
Adhesives should always be used in a suitably ventilated area. Most adhesives vapors are heavier than air so ventilation should be down away from the operator. Most odors Problems originate with excess adhesives on finished parts or untidy work areas.
4. Spillage and Waste Disposal:
No adhesive or associated product should be poured down the drain. In the event of spillage or the need to dispose of waste, refer to the MSDS.
5. Other Associated Processes:
When implementing safety procedures for handling adhesives, always consider the requirements of the process as a whole. For example, the safety measures relating to solvent cleaning and the use of abrasives should be always taken into account.
Most manufacturing processes involve a degree of hazard. When using adhesives, good industrial hygiene is essential and sensible precautions will eliminate significant risk. Always refer to the MSDS and if you have questions, contact with your nearest dealer.
